This archaic water wheel, located in Speyside, Tobago was constructed many years ago for use in the sugar industry. After the collapse of this industry, it became obsolete and now only the ruins remain.

My attempt at Bonsai did not kill the plant
These plants are all the rage now and look who got one! Look at this beauty! The flowers start opening in the night a little after 12 am and by morning they are fully open. It's so exciting! I will be posting better quality pictures soon but I just couldn't wait to share.

It's been a while
I saw this lovely poui (Tabebuia rosea) while on my way to my friend's wedding. It's supposed to be pink but the colour was so pale it looked almost white. I was fortunate enough to get a picture while the car was driving by.
Havannah's death came suddenly. No one was expecting it. She was fine one day, sick the next then she died. I had the opportunity to ride her once before she passed. Recently I thought my Mgambo tree was dying. All the leaves just started to turn brown and fall off. But after a while I saw some new leaves coming out and that made me super happy. I pulled off the other dying leaves to give the new ones a chance.
I haven't posted about Gio in a while so here's an update. He's now about nine months old. I usually let him out the cage while I get ready on mornings or on afternoons when I get home.
