Havannah's death came suddenly. No one was expecting it. She was fine one day, sick the next then she died. I had the opportunity to ride her once before she passed. She was a beautiful black warmblood with white socks and a white stripe on her face. She was a headstrong horse definitely an alpha… Continue reading In Memory of Havannah
Recently I thought my Mgambo tree was dying. All the leaves just started to turn brown and fall off. But after a while I saw some new leaves coming out and that made me super happy. I pulled off the other dying leaves to give the new ones a chance.
I haven't posted about Gio in a while so here's an update. He's now about nine months old. I usually let him out the cage while I get ready on mornings or on afternoons when I get home. He's learning to talk. He says his name in all the variations that we say it. "Gio… Continue reading Gio the Budgie Enjoys Life

Riding on the road
Today I'll be joining the officers of the TTPS Mounted Branch on a road ride. I'm super excited about it because it will be my first. I hope the weather stays good and all horses behave. I'm not sure where we will be going but I will update as soon as possible afterwards.

If you're lucky you might even see some wildlife peeking out from behind a tree. That's exactly how today started off. Rain started to fall around 4 a.m. The morning was dreary and bleak. It was the type of morning where you would rather just stay in bed. Or huddle under a blanket like these two. Thankfully it wasnt like this all day. The sun decided to come out around… Continue reading Cold
